Molly - the Early Years

I was born in Iowa to an accountant father and stay-at-home mother. I have two older sisters and an older brother, who are all very close in age. When I was 6 years old, we moved to the suburbs of Washington, DC. It was a very fun place to grow up. We were always going into the city to see a parade, museum, or monument. We spent every 4th of July on the National Mall, watching concerts and seeing fireworks!
My parents instilled traditional values into our family. It was very important to my parents that we eat dinner as a family each night, which is important to me and Brian now and in our plans to raise a family. Growing up, I was taught honesty, integrity, and to always do my best. These are values that I still hold dear. It was also very important to have a sense of humor...there was always a lot of laughter in our house! Education was a focus as well. My siblings and I all went to college. I graduated from college in Virginia, and have spent my career in fundraising for non-profit organizations and healthcare marketing.
All the grown-ups on my side of the family!
My siblings are all married and have young children - I have 3 nieces and 2 nephews, so our child will have plenty of cousins to love! My parents and siblings support our adoption journey unconditionally, and are so eager to welcome another member into our family! Children have been a part of my life since I started babysitting as a mother's helper at age 9, and pretty much never stopped. I am so hopeful that I become a mother someday.
